Conditions of participation for the
"HSM PHOTOCONTEST"

Entry Deadline

The deadline for entries is 27.10.2023 - 24:00.
Photos received later will not be considered.

Photo motif

The competition is about the most beautiful views of the various HSM machines.
Allowed are motifs on which HSM machine types are depicted.

Marking the image

The following information must be provided for labeling purposes:

• as accurate as possible information about the place of shooting
• Surname, first name of the photographer
• Name of the person photographed
• E-mail address / contact details
• Address of the photographer

Each participant may submit up to 20 photos to the competition. Only one photo per submission can be awarded a prize. The photos to be submitted by email should be provided in as high a resolution and quality as possible so that publication in the HSM calendar and in the various HSM media is possible in good quality.

Each participant who sends a photo to the photo contest agrees to the use and storage of the above data.

Review of the images

The jury will examine all submitted images. Insofar as individual contributions or contents violate applicable law, do not comply with the conditions of participation or have technical defects, the company HSM is entitled to exclude them from the competition.

Evaluation

At the end of the contest, the jury will determine the winning photos from all the submitted photos.
The names of the winners will be published on the HSM Facebook page and the winners will also be notified by email.

The jury's decision is not subject to appeal.

Following the competition, the selected photos will be published in next year's HSM calendar and in the various HSM media.

Winners and prizes

The 3 best selected pictures will be rewarded with an attractive prize.

In addition, the winners and winning photos will be announced on the HSM company website.

Image rights

The participant assures that he/she holds all rights to the submitted image, that he/she has the unrestricted exploitation rights to all parts of the image, that the image is free of third-party rights and that no personal rights are violated in the depiction of persons. If one or more persons are recognizably depicted in the photo, the persons concerned must agree to the publication of the photo. If buildings and land are depicted that are privately owned and the author of the photo was on private property when the photo was taken, it is necessary to obtain a corresponding declaration of consent from the owner of the building rights (owner).

If third parties nevertheless assert claims for infringement of their rights, the participant shall indemnify both HSM as the organizer and the jury appointed by HSM against all claims. Photos edited on the computer may not contain any parts of pictures from magazines, books, purchased CDs etc.

Granting of rights of use

The participant grants the company HSM and its advertising and media partner PHOTON® the right to use the photos commercially, temporally, spatially and in terms of content without limitation and free of charge, but not exclusively, including the right to edit. This applies regardless of the medium in which the publication takes place (in particular print and online media).

The submitted photos may also be passed on to third parties such as newspaper editorial offices (for reporting on the photo competition, award ceremony, catalogs, advertisements, etc.). The participant expressly agrees to this.

The company HSM is entitled to use the photos for its own purposes at any time. In particular, it is entitled to publish the award-winning photos in a photo calendar and to use them as part of its public relations work, naming the photographer.

Any compensation for the publication and use of the images in excess of the non-cash prizes / vouchers is excluded.

Address, telephone number and email address of the participants will be stored at HSM and will not be passed on to third parties.

Appeals

By participating in the competition, photographers agree to the above conditions of participation.

The legal process is excluded.
